No one prays the rosary faster than thirteen-year-old Olivia Browning. But when her teacher, Sister Mary, instructs her to write down all her prayers for a month in preparation for Confirmation—no rosaries allowed—Olivia is stumped. How does one talk to God? Sister Mary suggests that Olivia begin by writing letters to God. Skeptical at first, Olivia finds that the more she writes, the more she opens up about her life, particularly what it’s like living with her grandfather after his stroke. Olivia’s letters and photos reveal a girl who is stubborn and funny, surprisingly vulnerable and ultimately desperate to find God. But in order to find him, she must learn how to talk to him. She must learn to pray.
