    (Independently published, April 4, 2020)
I am ‘Sam’. I have finished all the required schooling and am in the process of completing my final exams. As soon as I finish the exams, and receive my Certificate, I will officially become an adult. Therein lies the problem!Of course, I don’t want to be a child all my life. I have always looked forward to becoming an adult. But, now that it is really here, I am scared to death. My father isn’t helping a bit. I think he is actually looking forward to the day I leave the house. Becoming an adult means that I will have to get a job and find a place to live. No more room and board at home. Now, I don’t mind going to work every day. It’s just that I have no idea where to find a job that will actually suit me. Obviously, I want something I am good at. I am good at thinking. But, I also like being out of doors. I couldn’t stand being cooped up behind a desk in an office every day. School was bad enough. But, at last, it is almost over. If I have to go to work every day, for the rest of my life, I want a job where I can be out of doors and breathe fresh air.My grandfather is the person who taught me to appreciate that. But, I never imagined what would happen when I followed my grandfather’s suggestion…
