    ORT Snapdragons provide a variety of exciting picture story books covering the whole range of fiction required for Key Stage 1. A 24-page Teaching Notes booklet is available for each of the ten stages in the Snapdragons series. There are teaching notes on each of the six stories in the stage covering: Group and Independent Reading Activities focussing on comprehension, Speaking and Listening Activities, and Writing. The relevant NLS objectives and the range covered by each story are also listed, as well as the range. Within each section there are prompts and suggestions for responding to the story, personal experiences, cross-curricular links, role play and further suggestions on how to observe and assess pupils' progress. Each booklet also includes a Vocabulary Chart listing the high frequency words for the stage that are covered in the story, and a list of context words relating to each story. A Curriculum Coverage chart lists the activities and outcomes for England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

    Stage 2 Big Books are large format versions of the new edition Stage 2 storybooks. With their new, even larger format they are an invaluable resource for whole class teaching and group work. The titles in the pack are A New Dog, What a Bad Dog!, The Go-kart, The Toy's Party, New Trainers and The Dream. The A4 sized Teaching Notes booklet, which is included in the pack, provides a Curriculum Coverage Chart listing Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Writing activities at Reception level.
