    Michaela and Sylvia are sent out to play on what seemed like a normal, hot, weekend afternoon. However, it turned out to be anything but normal. After making a quick stop to visit a unique friend, who has helped Michaela realize what type of secrets are good to keep and which are not, the girls set off exploring. They discovered an abandoned house and, of course, they couldn’t just walk away.Upon entering the house and daring to climb a dark set of stairs, the sisters find a rocking horse. The rocking horse temps Michaela and Sylvia with the promise of a fun ride. Unfortunately the rocking horse ride wasn’t all it promised to be. Because of the deceptive horse, the girls find themselves trapped in a room so dark that they could not see anywhere but inwards. Throughout the afternoon, the girls made a few discoveries that would change the way they thought about themselves, and each other, for the rest of their lives. The sister’s bond tightened as they struggled to escape the darkness and they realized what it means to work together, to be brave, to believe in themselves, and to put an effort into their actions.Before they were able to escape, they met a ghostly girl who was on a mission of her own. The three girls were able help one another make the journey home. But not before Michaela and Sylvia hear a ghost’s story that taught them about, and possibly saved them from, real life monsters.
