Detective Frank Parker is having a bad day. His marriage is falling apart. The Tycho City Police Department wants his job for conducting his personal side investigation into the murder of his partner. And, he’s just put himself in the crosshairs of the notorious Lunatic street gang. His one glimmer of hope comes from a chance conversation about his failing fortunes. One of Tycho City’s most powerful and influential entertainment moguls needs a detective to find a missing waitress who stole from him. But, that glimmer of hope might just be the siren’s call to the jagged rocks. What could a man of such means, with so much security on his payroll, possibly need with an out-of-work street cop from the Lower City’s slums? And, why is he offering so much for a simple missing person case? There’s only one way for Frank to find out. It’s not like he really has a choice. But, his suspicions quickly give way to a dark truth that carries him to some of the seediest, darkest places in this lunar tourist town. The more he uncovers, the more horrifying that truth becomes and the harder it’s going to be for Frank to get out with his soul intact. Can he help the only innocent person in this whole miserable situation while honoring his commitment to his new employer? Can he risk going it on his own with his family being hounded by the Lunatics? If he can’t, how will he ever live with himself? It’s an imperfect world. He’ll have to find the most perfect solution he can.
