At the conclusion of his career he had achieved success as a civilian and also had an accomplished career as a civilian soldier. He was a tenured professor for over thirty years and a field commander of a leading medical unit for eight years. The author shares his experience of serving mass with a soon to be canonized saint and how it shaped his life. He shares many of his unique patients he treated and students he mentored at the dental school where he taught. The purpose of his book is to share the principles and priorities of what he felt helped him to achieve a feeling of self worth.
