Up till now, ‘Ghosting’ meant blocking someone on Twitter. Up till now, anything magical only happened on Netflix. But now? Nuh-uh…Ghosts are actually real? “Absolutely!” says the eccentric old bat living in a mansion in the middle of nowhere. She’s older than dirt, rich as Bezos... and my grandmother. My grandmother? What? Mom & Dad told me she died years before I was born! Here’s what the hell happened to my life. FML to be exact…A few days ago Mom & Dad lost their minds about me getting kicked out of school (again). But THIS time they cut me off. The cute little one bedroom in NYC—gone. The gold plated Amex? Buh-bye. “You’re 22, Kiera and it’s high time you learned a few things about your life!” Mom said, just before BANISHING me to some po-dunk city up north to ‘look after your grandmother’.I didn’t even know the ancient biddy existed until then. WTF is up with that? And what’s up with her house? As soon as I show up, crazy things start. Some tricky housekeeper who I’ve never seen, keeps tidying my room. I hate other people touching my stuff! Then there’s some sneaky little boy screwing with my Nikon camera. WTF? Why does his selfies look so weird? When I see them, he’s all blurry and faded, but everything else is sharp and normal looking. It’s enough to give you the creeps. On top of all that, every night there’s moaning and groaning (and NOT the good kind) from the hallway, and when I go to check…there’s nothing there. When my GM (no way...no freaking way—I’m calling my Grand Mother, ‘Nana’) tells me that I have to take over the family business...then INFORMS me of just what the family business is... Oh boy.Ghosts are real, okay? And some of them get stuck here, okay? And now it’s my job to get them over to the other side?Really?Oh...cuz if I don’t...you know...end of the world stuff will happen. Like our planet falling into the sun kind of things. Things that make a nuclear war look like a schoolyard fight. For real. Ghosts are real, okay? Guess what? So are demons. And a whole bunch of other crap I’m just trying to get my head around. Oh boy...I really should have stayed in school.Legacy is the first installment of the complete series ‘The Mystical Veil’ a page turning series about a selfish trust fund brat who has to grow up and grow a heart. Or else. The world doesn’t revolve around Keira, she just has to save it. There’s a lot more to the world that what you see on TV. There’s ghosts. And mages. And demons. And a lot more in her heart than the latest fashion fad. Reader Response to LEGACYAWESOME“Great book. Full of excitement and supernatural.”★★★★★ I’M SO HOOKED“Wasn't sure I was going to like this book when I first started reading it - Keira's attitude toward everything just wasn't for me but she grows up and matures quickly and I grew to love her. She's very spunky and very powerful and the love she had for her GM at the end was very sweet. Definitely will be reading the rest of this series!! Big thumbs up!”★★★★★ AN ENJOYABLE READ“The book is well written, and easy to follow. I loved the big twist! This is the first time in a long time that a twist really took me by surprise. She whet my appetite for more. I hope the next book is as good.”★★★★★

  • JET - Legacy:

    Russell Blake

eBook (Reprobatio Ltd, Jan. 14, 2014)
JET – Legacy is the fifth installment in the bestselling JET series, which follows the saga of the Mossad’s deadliest ex-operative, who faked her own death to escape her past. In this novel, JET is called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep the ones she loves, and the world, safe. This is the fifth novel in the JET series. The suggested reading order is:JET - Ops Files (prequel)JETJET - BetrayalJET - VengeanceJET - ReckoningJET - LegacyJET - JusticeJET - Sanctuary+ + + Q&A with Russell BlakeQ: How is JET V – Legacy different than the prior JET novels?Russell Blake: In JET V, I take a different perspective on her motivations, as well as try to conjure up a plot so racing that the reader is left gasping by the end of the novel. Certainly, Jet is always in crisis, but never more so than in this volume.Q: What’s similar to the other novels?RB: JET V takes place over a week, and picks up only a few days after JET IV finishes. So if you were to read them back-to-back, the action seems to continue without letup across the series. In JET II I sort of duplicated the pacing of the original JET, and then in JET III tried a slightly different approach. I’d say JET IV and V are very similar in terms of pace and style, with the fifth volume in the Assassin series, Blood of the Assassin, also very similar. That’s another way of saying that I believe these books have really hit the groove, entertaining without letup.Q: How much more does JET have to go in the series?RB: I originally said that I can see the series running five or six books. That's changed since around book four, where I can see it maybe going to seven or eight. I think there's more than enough left to tell to take it that far - I had to leave out some of the ideas I had in this one, and kept telling myself, "save it for JET VI." So there's your answer, which at this point, is clear as mud, I would think. That's my way of saying I have no idea. But I haven't grown bored of telling her story, which is a very good thing, I think. Same for the Assassin novels - I can see writing one or two per year for at least another few years, if not longer.
