Excerpt from Juvenile Instructor, Vol. 41: Organ of the Deseret Sunday School Union; February 15, 1906Talk of the changes. That are taking place. The nights are much shorter now the sun stays longer each day. He must want to make it very warm so that many little birds will return to us. Some have already returned. Who has seen a robin? Yes, many, many robins have returned to us. Many little brooks and streams have also come back, but where did they go? 'why no, of course they did not go away, they remained here where Jack Frost turned them into ice: Jack Frost brought us so much snow and ice, enough to last a long time. He left it, perhaps, thinking it would always be snow and ice, but the bright, warm Sun comes, and oh! How that changes things. What happened to the winter gifts Jack Frost gives? Yes, indeed, the sun melts all the snow and ice into water, and how pleased we are to see it melt, for we know then that the little plants are having their first early drink. Sometimes nice, warm rain-drops come and help the snow and ice to melt faster.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
