It is the last Monday of the school year, and fourteen-year-old Jade Baker, could not be more excited. Besides it being a three day week, it is also her last day at Brunson Junior High School. Besides saying good bye to the eighth grade, Jade will also be saying goodbye to the bullying and torment that she endured the last three years. At this point, it is only natural that Jade thinks nothing could rain on her parade. However, things are not always as they seem. During lunch, Jade is attacked by her boyfriend and some of his teammates from the football team. The injuries are so bad,that they land Jade in the hospital. They have also left Jade with minor brain damage and Epilepsy. Even though she feels discouraged, she also feels strong and hopeful. As she will soon learn, never losing hope has it's advantages. When some long time best friends come to visit Jade in the hospital, she is given an educational opportunity that has the power to make her future the brightest that it can be.In this story of pain, recovery, change, hope, and finding the light at the end of a dark tunnel, follow a young girl on her journey of finding out the amazing things that can happen when you don't lose hope.
