This historical fiction novel, generally geared to readers 8 to 14 years old, involves a mixture of actual history and the story of how we often make choices that affect those around us. A story set in 1778 during the American Revolution that will delight the young reader in discovering how a shipload of pirates, serving as Privateers for the American colonists, decide to “do a greater good” and save Christmas for the children and adults of Savannah, Georgia. Led by intelligent officers, and guided by Angel, a pure white bottlenose dolphin, and Lucky, the ship’s dog, the young reader will sail with two young pirate sailors and the rest of the crew of the American Dream on a series of adventures that will teach them the importance of courage and the Christmas season.
