Ladybug, all red and completely curious, wants to see winter and, so, peeks into the Color Mistress' box of the colors of winter. She lets some of winter out, and a snowstorm occurs in spring. The Color Mistress scolds Ladybug for her curiosity, but Ladybug redeems herself when she holds down the lid on another box and prevents blackness from escaping and swallowing up all other colors. To reward Ladybug for her bravery, the Color Mistress paints black spots on Ladybug and on all other ladybugs.
