    language (, May 27, 2019)
Hear Me Roar is born out of the real life experiences shared between not only myself, as a respite care giver and an adoptive parent to my daughter, Delaney, born with FASD and opioid addicted, but also the village of teachers, community members, friends and her family. I especially share my heart of gratitude for my three oldest children for the patience and unconditional love they have for their sister who often times they sacrificed their own mama time in order for their sister to have the extra attention she required. This book serves as a heart-warming connective piece of communication between caregivers and the children who enter their hearts. By sharing this book it is my hope that a special quality time of safety and the beginning of bonding will be shared as soon as a child is placed in care. The mystery of routines and a child’s rights will be uncovered upon a sit down reading together of Delaney’s story, Hear Me Roar. This will empower the displaced child and move them into a place of much desired connection.

Hear Me (a short story preview to The Listeners series)Sure, the whole hearing people's thoughts thing is cool—on paper. In real life, it's kind of annoying, almost unbearably awkward and, at times, pretty scary. When Eva hears a shoplifter plotting her escape minutes before the girl dashes out of the store with a pair of headphones in hand, she knows she can no longer ignore the voices she's been hearing in her head. And Jake—the tall, handsome stranger who can also hear things he shouldn't—isn't going to let her ignore them, either. Together, they will navigate the depths of their new talents—and the extent of their fragile bond. Hear Me is a short story prequel (approx. 40 pages in length) to The Listeners series (Book 1 now available!)
