"The Little Seed" is about a special plant that is forbidden to grow. It is a simple story that challenges prohibition. The story was inspired by a court battle between the Lakota Nation and the U.S. government. The Lakota People were growing hemp to improve their economy, and the U.S. government invaded their land to destroy the crops. Cutting down the plants caused the seeds to spread. The next year, the hemp greatly multiplied and grew back on the same land. Man's law could not stop the plants from growing!
