This is a story about the meanest parents ever, Mrs. and Mr. Gingko of Norman Oklahoma and about their poor daughter, Alicia Gingko. Alicia only wants an elephant and a giraffe so she can be the most popular girl in second grade. (I believe that both children, parents, grandparents, teachers, and babysitters will discover that this is one of the funniest stories ever. The ending is a sweet one, and satisfactory, and for children this tale will be a learning experience. We can't always get what we want, but sometimes we get exactly what we need. Alicia Gingko is lucky. The "meanest parents ever" are exactly very wise guardians.)
