    “Frisky and the Booba La Bobba La” is a picture book of 970 words. It is written for children 2 to 7 years old, but will certainly appeal to adults as well.It is a story about the misadventures of a Saint Bernard puppy named Frisky. At the beginning of the book he is naive and timid. He meets a young fairy and she accompanies him as he explores his world. She is smart but clumsy, which is a combination that will get them both into trouble at the end of the book.As a puppy it is his duty to create a little mischief from time to time. From falling into a lake, pooping in the neighbor’s flowers, and accidently taking “selfies” on a cell phone, he has an adventurous life.One day, the neighbor’s dog starts to tell him a scary story about a Booba La Bobba La, but Frisky becomes afraid and runs away. In a fun twist at the end of the book, he learns the real identity of the Booba La Bobba La and protects it from a mean sorcerer and his dragon. At the climax, he summons all his courage and fights off the dragon.In the end, he is a little braver, but still the same lovable large puppy.
