Diego Rivera (December 8, 1886 – November 24, 1957) was a Mexican painter that was well known for his murals in Mexico City, Detroit, New York City and more. As a child, Diego enjoyed drawing on walls instead of paper, so his parents decided to install chalkboards in his bedroom which inspired him to create murals later in life. He married his art student and famed painter, Frida Kahlo, twice in 1929 and 1940. Diego’s paintings are a mixture of Cubism and the Post-Impressionism Movement which attracts attention and appreciation even today. He is notably known for painting, Man at the Crossroads.
