Jake Kramer is about to celebrate his 8th birthday. He asks Grandma Gail to bake him a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. The cake is so good that Jake decides he's going eat cake everyday. Grandma Gail warns him that he'll get too round, but Jake insists that won't happen to him. As each month passes, Jake is getting rounder, and his shape is beginning to look like a piece of fruit. His mom and dad, and even Grandma Gail are getting worried. They try everything to get him to stop eating so much cake, but nothing seems to work, until one day, Jake wants to go and play in the snow with his sister, and suddenly realizes the consequences of eating too much cake.
