This book teaches your children independent thinking, strong character and how to be a loyal friend, through the story of a run-away diaper Bobbo and a duck-like bird Näbbo. An adventure story children will not get tired of: they learn about history, physics, how to build competence, use their imagination, explore, invent solutions. They also develop in a playful way strategic thinking about understanding the motivation, skills and interests of different groups and people, and how to bring these to work together towards a common goal. When a bird flies through an open window into the diaper factory one summer evening, it drops a pebble into the machine, and Bobbo sees his chance to run away. He is a diaper, but no ordinary diaper. He has small arms and legs, is clever and courageous. The run-away diaper Bobbo runs into a nearby forest, where he meets duck-like bird Näbbo. The two become friends, Bobbo discovers his love for engineering and space-ship building and the friends decide venture into space. They meet and befriend Small-dog Voffie, Princess Karlaplan and many others, travel to planets, solve mysteries, learn new skills, confront their worst fears, overcome challenges, grow in courage, strength of character, knowledge and wisdom. But the adventure turns into quest when they realise their home is in danger from the bad guys. The Good-guys Universe and the Bad-guys Universe have existed side by side for as long as Old-Dog could remember. But now, a hole has opened in the space wall between them, and Bad-guy Master, the ruler of Bad-guy Universe, is sneaking in spy-robots in preparation of a conquest. Two unlikely friends venture to stop him: the run-away diaper Bobbo, who loves learning and to build his own spaceships, and a duck-like bird, Näbbo, his loyal friend. With the help of their friends But will they succeed in their most important quest: to stop evil from sneaking in and destroying their home universe?***The author Lars Almquist grew up in the story-telling culture of Scandinavia, in the land of Pippi Long-stocking. It wasn’t however until his own children requested stories, that he discovered a passion for storytelling. The children came up with the characters and the story grew in the telling. It became a beloved family project with everyone contributing and bonding over plot and character development. It was the only story the kids requested every night. Lars used the stories to teach the kids history, physics, arts, architecture, biology, politics, how to develop a strong character, stand up to evil and be a loyal friend.Lars has written several fiction and non-fiction books. He loves his family, reading and sports and splits his time between Stockholm and the Mediterranean island of Mallorca.
