A letter to readers from the riddler of this book: This is a book of riddles and rhymes. It is not your everyday alphabet book. In fact, forget the alphabet…how much help can a few letters be anyway? Okay…maybe A is a bit easy, but so what? There is still Q…ha, good luck with Q. If you can guess that one, I will declare you the winner right now! Think you have what it takes to be the number one riddler in town? Then kids, grab your parents…parents, grab your kids…and let the challenge begin! Oh, and for all of you out there who have already guessed the answer to the letter A, here is a second riddle just for you (it is a thing): A I am a healthy snack for some. To others, sickness just may come. A single seed lies in my shell. How can you break it? I won’t tell… Squirrels terrify me, as do deer. They make my siblings disappear. Some hide us in the ground below. Forget us there and we may grow! WHAT AM I? I AM AN ACORN!
