  • A Mouse in My House

    Camie Pennington

eBook (Xlibris US, Dec. 16, 2014)
A Mouse in My House is a rhyming story about a mouse that shows up at Nana's house. Nana is not happy and keeps insisting that the mouse is not a guest, but a pest, while the children try hard to convince her that a mouse in the house wouldn't really be all that bad. The unusual thing about this book is that while the story is (mostly) fictional, it is based on a real place and real people. Nana got the idea for this story when she discovered that she had a mouse in her house and every time she saw it or the evidence of it, she would say or shout, "I DO NOT want a MOUSE in my HOUSE!" One day, Nana teasingly said to Holland, "I think I'll write a book about a mouse in my house." Pap or Pappy, as referred to by Holland, is the author's husband, Eric. Holland is their granddaughter. Cameron is a nephew and Emmy is one of many nieces. All of these children love visits to Nana's house.
