The party, including their mother as a six year old child, pass through the Place of Nightmares (where butterflies with butterfly nets, game birds with shot guns and fish with fishing rods try to get them) and enter the Land of Dreams where with the help of Little Dream and the Hero Dreamhogs they seek the stronghold of the Dream Thief and brave the mighty Gnargs, warrior servants of the Princess of the Night.

    Boris the skull wants his body back, but cannot remember where he lost it. One morning he has a sudden picture of himself before he lost his body whilst visiting Stench Manor, the home of Charlie Stench the Body Collector. Charlie Stench collects bodies—the heads he turns into floating skulls with all the powers of evil—and this is particularly worrying as Benjamin has gotten trapped in Stench Manor. Thankfully the hero cat Snuggle is rushing to the rescue with a magical precious plant, but the witch Griselda is coming too and she's hungry for some Benjamin on toast.

    Griselda the witch has been drinking too much evil spirit. Boris her pet skull and the dim daft dwarves are fed up of being bullied by her. They decide to form a punk rock band and seek fame and fortune. But just before they leave for their first gig two of Griselda’s dead ancestors break out of their glass tanks beneath the ruined tower. Fifi Vicomtesse de Grunch is very keen on dancing. Her husband the Vicomte is not. When Griselda arrives at The Polhill Arms things do not work out as she expects, but unfortunately the evil spirit is still working inside her: it has not forgotten her ghastly plan of how to fill the larder.

    1st Ramion collection. Fantasy adventures set in the magical land of Ramion and Kent village of Shoreham. Contains four stand-alone, fantastical stories. In The Land of Lost Hair the witch Griselda casts a spell to make the boys travel to her, but the slime of maggot is past its sell-by date and the boys (and their parents) only lose their hair. Snuggle (Dream Lord and super hero) takes the boys to the Land of Lost Hair, but Griselda follows, and sends giant combs, scissors and hair driers to get the boys (“Boy kebabs for tea!”). In The Vicar’s Chickens Snuggle’s weakness for the Vicar’s chickens drives the Vicar mad, but after Snuggle (trying to escape fireballs sent by the witch Griselda) accidentally takes the Vicar (along with the boys and the church) to the realm of Ramion the Vicar becomes a child again and learns how not to fear a thing (not even a witch). In The Crystal Key fighting to save the boys Snuggle falls with the witch Griselda into the magic cauldron and through the void to Ramion. Landing in a circle of witches he is imprisoned in a block of crystal in the hills where the mind controls. The boys seek the crystal key to set Snuggle free and save the Gardener, who is old and through his mind feels Snuggle’s pain deep inside. In Creatures of the Forest Griselda casts a spell to make the boys and rabbit Scrooey-Looey travel to her, but the dwarves in error magic away her supper. After escaping from the Lost Magic Office the boys are swallowed by a huge snake and spat out into a creepy forest where Globerous Ghosts, Mystic Mummies, Venomous Vampires, Scary Scots and Bilious Butterflies try to get them.

  • Frankie and the Dancing Furies

    Fantasy adventure set in the magical land of Ramion and Kent village of Shoreham. When the storm summoned by the witch Griselda (unwitting tool of the Princess of the Night), attacks The Old Vicarage, the boys’ father is carried off along with Griselda, Boris, the dwarves, and the boys’ mother as a child (by a cosmic freak she is blown out of a photo in the attic). They should have travelled to the Princess who wants Boris for her art collection. But the capture of the boys’ father was unintended. His love of rock and roll distorts the spell and all travel to the land of the Dancing Furies where the spirit of the great rock god Jimi (Jimi Hendrix) takes possession of his body. But when he causes flowers to grow in the hair of the Dancing Furies they become once more goddesses of vengeance.

    In the magical forest there are Globerous Ghosts, Venomous Vampires, Scary Scots and Mystic Mummies, who (like other mummies) cannot stand boys who pick their noses. The boys are in constant danger of being turned into ghostly globs, piles of dust or being exploded by very loud bagpipe music. Thankfully, Ducky Rocky is there to help them as are Racing Racoons and the incredibly brave Hero Hedgehogs.
