Many people choose jobs where they help other people. What work can they do that helps people? What jobs do you know that make things better for us? Do you know what job you would like to do?

Long ago, when your great-grandparents were young, a lot of things were different in peoples homes. They did not have many machines to help them, so everyone in the family had to help with the housework.

This artist wanted to paint pictures of some animals. He chose the most unusual animals for his paintings. Monkey wanted to have his picture painted. Did the artist choose him?

A volcano is a mountain that erupts it explodes! Hot, melted rock called lava blows out of the top. It runs down the side of the mountain. The volcano shoots out steam and smoke and ash. It is dangerous for people and animals. Hot lava can cover farms and towns and houses.

Do you like using scissors? What do you like to cut? Mrs Snip Snap loves to cut things with her scissors. She likes to snip all kinds of things.

Building a new road is hard work. What machines are used to build new roads? How do road workers make new roads where there are rivers and forests and mountains?

Pizza has always been made in Italy. Now people in many countries like to eat pizza. It is easy to make if you have a pizza pan. You make dough for the base, then add tomato sauce, grated cheese, and other toppings. You can chop pieces of meat and vegetables. What things would you like to add?

Some animals work as hard as people do. They can do some jobs that people cant do. How can animals help us? What sort of work can animals do better than people?

Do you like collecting things? Some people make a collection of special things that they like. Lots of people collect shells at the beach. Some people like to collect a lot of feathers. A collection of stamps or coins is fun. What would you like to collect?

What do you know about a volcano? When a mountain erupts, it explodes! Hot melted rock, called lava, comes out of its top and flows down the side of the mountain! People need to keep away from real volcanoes, but you can have fun making your own volcano!

Why do many animals live underground? What do you think underground homes are like? Animals use burrows, tunnels, dens and caves to keep away from their enemies and bad weather. Their babies keep safe from their enemies while they grow up.
