After hours of searching, he found his lamb trapped in a rocky valley, and brought him back to safety. 2- ESTHER, THE HEROIC QUEEN ~ The dramatic story of Esther, the young Jewish bride of the king of the ancient Persia, now called Iran. Esther had heard that the king’s wicked minister, Haman, was plotting to kill her people. She exposed Haman to the king, and Haman was hanged in the city square. 3- DANIEL IN THE LIONS’ DEN ~ When the heathen King Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem two thousand years ago, he took a religious young Jew named Daniel back to the city of Babylon. But when Daniel refused to worship the King’s golden idols, Daniel was thrown into a den of lions. His life was saved because of his undying faith in God. 4- THE FIERY FURNACE ~ King Nebuchadnezzar also brought three friends of Daniel back to Babylon. Their names were Shadrach, Mesach and Abendego. And like Daniel they refused to worship the king’s golden idols, and were thrown into a fiery furnace, where the flames didn’t touch them because of their steadfast faith in God.

    LIVING ADVENTURES FROM THE BIBLE, Volume 3: 1- THE TALENTS ~ A rich man once gave three of his servants gold coins called talents, so they could go out and set up a business of their own. One servant bought a loom to make beautiful fabrics, and he did very well. The second servant bought a potter’s wheel to make beautiful pottery, and he too, did very well. But the third servant buried his talent in the earth and made nothing at all and thus, lost his servant’s job. 2- RUTH AND NAOMI ~ Israel once suffered a dreadful drought, which forced a mother named Naomi to move her family to the heathen country of Moab where there was plenty of water. There they met a wonderful woman named Ruth, who helped them to start a new life. Years later Naomi returned home to Israel, accompanied by Ruth, who now believed in the God of Israel. 3- JOSEPH AND HIS BROTHERS ~ Of his twelve sons, the mighty Jacob loved his eleventh, Joseph, most of all which made the ten other sons dislike, even hate, Joseph especially after Jacob had made a beautiful coat of many colors for Joseph. So the brothers secretly sold Joseph to merchants heading for Egypt. However, years later, Joseph saved his brothers from a devastating drought, where they founded the nation of Israel.
