  • Notes of a Journey: Rough Waters

Scott Hemsley, Maddy Bell, Angharad ap Gwilym

    language (Scaramouch, Jan. 9, 2020)
t would seem that I've been put on a literary path somewhat like George Lucas did with Star Wars. “Rough Waters” is the prequel to “Reconciliation”, which in turn was based upon “Notes of a Journey”. As such, like “Reconciliation”, it is highly recommended your read/re-read “Notes of a Journey”, at least up to the point the kids are preparing to leave Grottoes, Virginia. This is to avoid any confusion with references to events that occurred prior to the start of “Rough Waters”.The final party at Pru's is winding down……. SH February 2007This print version of Scott's second volume of ‘Notes of a Journey’ has been extensively reworked from that first seen on my website two years ago. I hope all the work has been worth it!Maddy Bell, January 2020
  • Gaby - Summer Girl: Book 2

Madeline Bell, Maddy Bell, Angharad ap Gwylim, Antony Stockford

    language (Scaramouch, Nov. 27, 2013)
Following on from The Anime Days, Summer Girl follows the further adventures of Drew Bond, schoolboy, sportsman and reluctant girl! It doesn't seem to matter what he does his alter ego Gaby is lurking just around the corner so it's no surprise to find that it's Gaby who has all the adventures and not Drew. But the summer holidays will be different won't they?In this 3rd Edition a lot of grammar and formatting has been corrected, yes there are a few small changes to the text but nothing that changes the story - it may not be perfect but its better than it was! You still get all the original illustrations inside but benefit from a new character listing in the back as well.
  • Gaby - Only Five Minutes: Book 25

    Maddy Bell, Madeline Bell

    language (Scaramouch, March 26, 2020)
"Help! Anyone, Nen, Con! Mmph!”I batted uselessly at the enthusiastic hairy hound doing its best to eat my face whilst simultaneously pinning me to the sofa. I'm not exactly a dog person, we've never had pets at home, they just don't fit with our family's lifestyle. Despite that dogs seem to be attracted to me for some reason, maybe it’s my shampoo and my current predicament is just the latest in a long string of dog 'attacks'."Get off Boris,” I tried whilst pushing at the pile of hair and bones."Boris! Garden, now!” Nena's voice ordered. There wasn't an immediate reaction but the follow on, 'leave Gaby alone' had the desired effect, the hound somewhat reluctantly releasing me and sloping out of the lounge. I did my best to regain my seat and composure."Sorry Gab, you okay?”"I'll live.”"He doesn't do it to anyone else.”"We are talking Gabs here,” a second voice opined, my BF, Connie. My name is Gaby Bond, I'm a short arse almost seventeen-year-old college student with a penchant for cycle racing and a sometimes boyfriend from the local aristocracy. I live with my parents in Dernau, a sleepy village in the Ahr valley on the eastern edge of the Eifel mountains in Germany. If my life was just that simple it would be great but I’ve ended up with more going on in my world than most people have in a lifetime which brings me to why I'm in the Fischer house on a cold and damp December evening. This is the complete version of the book with extra, never before published chapters!

Or will he get dragged ever deeper into girldom? This 3rd edition has had a thorough double re-edit and a few subtle errors corrected, not only that but it has been fully reformatted to make reading easier whilst retaining all the original illustrations.Gaby sales support kids with gender issues through the Mermaids charity.

    language (Scaramouch, Jan. 8, 2014)
The exchange visit is here - can Drew keep Gaby hidden from the Americans?Since the First Edition hit the presses back in 2006 a further twenty three volumes of Gaby have seen the light of day along with countless shorts and fanfics based around our hapless hero and his/her friends. As the plot has developed one or two inconsistences have crept in or been brought to light which hopefully have been corrected in this volume. This has meant a few passages have been changed, a name here, syntax there along with a host of missing punctuation and grammatical errors which escaped the First and Second Edition editing. It was never the intention to rewrite the volume and you’ll find the general flow unchanged. However I hope that this Third Edition is a smoother read and that you’ll enjoy this re-edited version.
