Tricked into stealing an ancient book by a mysterious old woman and her butler, Nigel and Tom’s curiosity gets the better of them and they decide to read it. It soon becomes apparent that this is no ordinary book as it transports them through time and space. From cybernetic pirates, where they meet the giant sized Fergal and his furry friend, through medieval England where the knights are mean, the bushes seem to talk, old people are very protective of their puddles and the kings advisor is after the throne, ending up involved in an intergalactic war hailed to be ‘The Chosen’ and must defeat the alien Emperor for peace to return to the universe (No pressure). While all the time, they are being watched and, as they are about to find out, someone is following them. Are they really ‘The Chosen’? Can they really save the universe? Tom’s not sure, but what he does know is that there’s going to be a whole lot of trouble and he is going to be smack bang in the middle of it, just where he doesn’t want to be!
