I originally wrote this little story for my grandson, to illustrate how days evaporate when you seem to have nothing much to do. It's also about how nothing is ever finished, and how one task generates another. It's a story for children and adults who, like me, are too interested on what's going on over on the far side of the field to keep our eye on the ball!
