  • Theodore Roosevelt: The Autobiography

Theodore Roosevelt, George Pettingell, Tim J. Simpson

Audible Audiobook (Tim J. Simpson, Oct. 31, 2019)
"I am a presidential history buff or a nut, as my wife might say. I love reading about bygone times of Grover Cleveland, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and my favorite president of all is Theodore Roosevelt. Why Roosevelt you might ask. Well, to try and keep it simple, he was real - what you saw is what you got. I identify with him in a lot of ways. Allow me to explain. He was a big game hunter, yet he formed sanctuaries and parks for preservation. I can see that I don't hunt personally but have friends that do and I don't condemn them for it. I love animals and yet I would kill one if it meant my family was going to starve. He left office as secretary of the navy to join a fight against Spain. No one would ever do that, especially in our society today. Roosevelt was a cowboy, a boxer, a politician, a war hero, a father, a devoted husband, and most of all, a real human being. I hope you will listen to this book in his own words and get to know one of America's presidents, and I hope that you will come to appreciate him as much as I have." (Tim Simpson, 2019)

Terror has to be overcome as she answers a plea to find the one thing that gives her night sweats and flashbacks. An animal. A missing stud poodle, to be exact. Solomon's amusement at Daisy's new case is short lived when the arrest of his former girlfriend, Lisa, leaves him with the full-time care of his young daughter, Molly. A dead man is discovered in Lisa's bed. Now he needs to help find the killer before Molly's safety is compromised. When Daisy realizes the dead man is linked to her current case, Solomon and Daisy are forced to work together to rescue the dog and uncover the killer's motives. Would the sexual prowess of a poodle really incite someone to murder, or is the real motive hidden somewhere in Solomon's secret past?
  • The Blunt End of the Service

    L.J. Simpson

    eBook (L.J.Simpson, March 9, 2016)
With a little more drive and ambition, Chuck Poulson might have found himself serving as first officer aboard a hyper liner. By the same token, if Cadet Penelope Parker had accepted the amorous advances of the notorious Commander Dickens, she might well have been posted to the Cromwell, the latest Type 53 destroyer. But with things as they stand, Chuck and Penny find themselves serving together aboard the half derelict space station Orbital One, alongside a motley crew of ‘misfits, slackers and has-beens’. And that would have been that, but their neatly ordered world is suddenly turned upside down as they find themselves at the centre of intrigue in a plot involving sabotage, larceny and murder. Can Penny redeem herself and put her fledgling career back on track? Can Chuck just muddle through it all with his limbs still attached to his body? Cut off from outside help, they find themselves propelled to the sharp end of the service and with things not always as they seem, they must negotiate ruthless staff officers, overcome battle hardened marines and outwit inter-stellar crime syndicates if they are to survive and win the day.

  • The Autobiography of David Crockett

David Crockett, Tim Simpson, George Pettingell

Audiobook (Tim Simpson, June 29, 2020)
Let me begin by saying I am passionate about history. I love the lifestyles of the bygone eras. I love how tough and yet how simple life was. Sleeping under the stars was a regular life for some. Traveling the lands was the life for others. The book you are about to listen to is in the public domain. And for that, I am thankful. That way, I can keep it as much to the original as possible. The English in which it is spoken might be tough to listen to, but I like it! It makes me feel as though Crockett is standing and speaking with me personally; I want that feel. I hope you feel the same when you listen to the audiobook. Well, I have said enough. I believe, now, with no further ado, I turn the floor over to Mr. Crockett.
