Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were German folklorists who lived in the 18th-19th centuries. They are mostly famous for collecting and publishing fairy tales. Nathaniel Hawthorne was an American novelist and short-story writer. His works feature moral allegories with Puritan inspiration. His fiction works are considered part of the Romantic movement and, more specifically, dark romanticism. Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was a Danish author of fairy tales, playwright, essayist. In his fairy tales Andersen allocated objects with human properties. The Wicked Prince is the fairy tale by H.C Andersen about one prince, who wanted to conquer all countries in the world. He has defeated all his neighbors. The prince ordered to erect his statues on the public places and in churches. Priests were against it. They said that the prince was mighty indeed, but God's power was much greater than his. Oscar Wills Wilde (1854-1900) was an Irish author, playwright, and poet.
