He has a great love for his country - the only greater love he has is for his wife and his daughter, Alexa. He and his family of four, including their dog Peek-a-boo, reside in southern Nevada. M. W. Smith has also written A Mother’s Day Wish, a short story about a mom and her daughter.

Her many duty stations took her across the county, as well as overseas. In Okinawa she worked as a TV motion picture documentation specialist at FEN (The Far East Network) with her boss Dale Dye. When she worked in Puerto Rico she had a late night radio show at Roosevelt Roads. As a civilian, Nash worked for WTTE Channel 28 before it was a Fox affiliate, where she got satellite feeds and bought the station on air before stations were 24 hours. She also worked at Chanel 21, an independent channel in Columbus, Ohio. She worked for the Department of Defense as a video production specialist, where her work on the video A Link in the Chain won acclaim at the DLA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Also, she owned a small video production in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a Masters and PhD in broadcast communications and is retired and now living out west.

Dwight Thompson and illustrator for The Bird Who Fell In Love With A Tree. He was born in September of 1997. He grew in Santa Rosa, California and has lived there his entire life. He is currently attending Santa Rosa Junior College for his degree in graphic design. He played football for two years in college and was an accomplished athlete in high school as well. He is hoping to pursue a career in art when his schooling is complete.

Kennedy's funeral. Pearson's role was to handle the press that fateful night, and he became a witness to history. The book has two parts: it describes Pearson's early life in Miami, and then tells the story of his unusual PR career. This includes his experiences in the Kennedy and Johnson Administrations, as well as a series of interesting vignettes of his dealings with a number of sports celebrities, mainly in the game of golf. To name a few: Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Pete Dye, and Robert Trent Jones. About the Author David Pearson is a native of Miami, Florida. His family settled there in the 1920s and '30s. His father Dr. Colquitt Pearson was the city's first anesthesiologist. He graduated from Emory University, worked for UPI, and became the first Vice President for Public Relations at Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island. The author then spent two years in Washington as Deputy Information Director of the Peace Corps under Sargent Shriver and as Assistant Director of the Community Relations Service under LeRoy Collins. Pearson opened his public relations firm in Miami in 1966, with Laurance Rockefeller's Caribbean resorts as his first client. Although he has published a number of articles on golf course architecture, his firm's national reputation is primarily based on representing high quality resort and club communities throughout the Americas. In May of 2016, Pearson and his wife Anne moved to Sea Pines on Hilton Head Island, where they spent the first years of their marriage.

Kevin, on the other hand, is one of the smallest kids in school and is mainly on the basketball team since he is Jamal's brother. All is going well for the brothers until tragedy strikes. Jamal, after being hit by a car, struggles on the road to recovery and must find a new passion in life outside of basketball. Kevin attempts to become the leader of the basketball team and overcome his physical limits. Jamal pushed Kevin to conquer his fears both in basketball and his love life by asking out a girl. Against All Odds touches upon the universal themes of perseverance, overcoming hardship, hope, friendship, love, hard work, and determination. About the Author Drew Oakley has always had a lifelong love for basketball. After growing up in Beverly, Massachusetts, he is now a student at UMass Boston where he is part of the Honors College as a Psychology major. Growing up in an era where Boston sports teams were dominant, he ended up being a huge sports fan. Oakley grew up playing basketball, soccer, and baseball. He was always undersized compared to his peers and he had to work harder than most to make up for it. This helped mold him into a hard worker and it is a reason is he is a fan of underdogs like Kevin and Jamal. This can be seen in his character Kevin. Against All Odds is his first published work.
