"Never Give Up" is the philosophy by which Effy Pfeffermann lives his life. Born in Timisoara, Romania, he and his immediate family survived World War II and the Communist take over of this once sophisticated city. Armed with guts and gumption, he emigrated to Israel, where he became an active duty officer in the army for seven years. Eventually he moved to the United States, married his wife Susan, and embarked on a corporate career until his entrepreneurial spirit carried him into many successful business ventures. When asked why he wanted to write this memoir, he said, "So that my grandsons will appreciate their Jewish heritage, be kind to other people and understand the importance of Israel to the Jewish people. This heartfelt memoir with its powerful motivational message to "Never Give Up" will stay with readers long after they have finished reading it.
