    We are in the future, when robots are bought as servants. Daniella's mom and dad can't afford an expensive new robot and buy a used model. Daniella (Dani) wants it to be a female robot and calls it Lulu. Lulu will run the home and help Dani with her homework. Dani quickly discovers Lulu does not function properly and is really nutty. Dani and her two friends, Penny and Ozzie, have great fun with Lulu, finding her antics both hilarious and bothersome.

    The orphan Micky O'Malley and the other children from the orphanage have to find other places to live while the orphanage is being redecorated. Micky goes to live in what was once his house with the nastiest couple imaginable, Shifty and Belladonna Glum and their awful cat Claws and their insane dog Strike. The once beautiful house is now filthy and uncared for and the garden is full of garbage. Micky is used as a servant and slave. He plans to run away but is watched over by the dangerous Strike. Somewhedre in the house is a hidden treasure and Micky wants to fin it before the Glums get their hans on it.
