This fractured fairy tale is a collaborative effort of Mrs. Tollefson's third grade class of 2011-2012.We started with a simple framework identifying the setting, characters and plot and worked over a 4 month period to revise, edit and finish our 2,000-word short story. Students contributed the text from their original stories and parts were pieced together, revised, improved and changed to meet the class vision of these characters. The story is illustrated with color artwork contributed by students.
