Some pages previously taped with white tape, but some of which are now still loose. 288, pp. First Canadian Edition. This Canadian edition is, identical with the American first state except for the imprint of the Copp, Clark Co., Limited, of Toronto on the title page and spine. With 8 if 12 color plates (4 plates missing) by John R. Neill without captions. There are numerous black & white drawings by John R. Neill. Giften inscription to owner on Page 11. Some drawing or coloring by owner on black and white plates. There is wear to all color plates. Please note book condition is poor. Book is eminently readable. No pages appear to be missing. There is a 9x6?, red cloth, pictorial cover label (3" by 2" of which are rubbed off l; black & white pictorial endpapers.As with the American first state, the publisher's advertisement on the verso of the ownership leaf lists eleven titles, the last being The Tin Woodman of Oz.
