  • Scripture Song Sing-A-Long: 10 Memory-Verse Songs for Kids

Ed Kee, Rhonda Frazier, Brian Green

    Paperback (Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, March 1, 2009)
Romans 10:17 tells us that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It naturally follows that if you want your children to grow in faith, then they must hear the Word of God. What better way for kids to learn the truth of God's Word than to memorize it in a song? Scripture Song Sing-a-long is designed to help them do just that. These fun, easy-to-sing songs contain complete passages of Scripture set to memorable melodies that your kids will be singing for years to come. The Brentwood Kids Club exclusive Kaboodle activity book also contains not only the music, but additional material such as puzzles, word play, questions, art and fill-in-the-blank exercises to help children reinforce and apply these truths in their daily walk. As an added bonus, the full Listening CD is included in this book along with the activities. We have also created a Kaboodle Leader's Resource Bundle for Scripture Song Sing-a-long, which includes printable full piano sheet music for every song, answer keys to all activities included in the activity book, production notes, clip art, worship slides and a Split-Track Listening CD (music on the left, vocals on the right). It's like having a music assistant at your fingertips. Whether used in Sunday School, children's church or at home in a family devotional time, children and adults alike will enjoy learning and singing these songs. What better way to hide God's Word in your heart than with Scripture Song Sing-a-long?

  • Secret Sanctuary

    Jeff Brent

eBook (Brentwood Publishing, July 8, 2020)
Meet Tommy Musgrove and his two friends John and Glenn. They are all ten year-old kids living in Midland, Texas in the year 1979. All of them are enjoying the freedom and happiness of growing up and being carefree as they enjoy special pastimes such as collecting tadpoles, building plastic models, listening to Led Zeppelin, playing board games, and obsessing over Wonder Woman as they indulge in the magic of childhood, a good deal of it in their “Secret Sanctuary.” One day a man named Andrew Scottsdale, the handsome, sophisticated member of the city council that the entire city adores and who seems to be the consummate politician and respected member of the community enters their lives, but he is in reality a depraved human monster that has already killed once in order to obtain his goals and would be more than willing to do so again. They are the only ones in the city who truly know what he is but are helpless to do anything about it; that is unless they play the same game that Scottsdale himself plays in order to bring him to justice and prevent his accumulation of even more power so that he can do more unheard of damage. What happens is an adventure that will have them running for their very lives as they do what they can to stay out of a monster’s reach before they can bring him down. The only trouble is, will they live long enough to do it?
  • A Doll Named Fannie

    Nancy B. Brewer

language (Brentwood Publishing, July 8, 2010)
The great potato famine leaves many Irish families in desperate need. When Molly's mother dies, her father decides to go to America. After a long ride on a big boat, Molly and her doll find themselves in New York City. The city is a big scary place for the two. Poor Molly is to face many trails, but her dear Fannie is with her all the way. Holding onto each other they ride the Orphan train. At last, they find a home in the town of Salisbury, North Carolina. Molly and Fannie are life-long friends."A Doll Named Fannie," is not just a story for children, but for anyone who has ever loved a doll. Its message is to remind us to: respect the past, trust in the future and believe in the power of the imagination. Book review / Best new authors. In less than 50 pages, Brewer's soft romantic style manages to span the life of a little girl named Molly. It is just as much poetry as it is story, with phrases you will relate and quote. Although, it was written as a child’s story, I recommend it for all ages. It is a sweet story with an old fashion message.
