The boy in this story had always been intrigued by his shadow, until one day, he suddenly became annoyed at him, for following him around so much. He did everything he could to prevent this, but failed, so he decided to complain to his mother, to see if she could talk to his shadow about following him around. Children will love and enjoy this fascinating story, bright colors, and lively illustrations.

The proverb, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, connotes the idea of trying to change one’s mindset, once he’s accustomed to doing things a certain way. Change is always met with resistance and is very hard to do. The various lines of text are typical examples which could be used as excuses to resist change. Everyone will enjoy the humor in each line of text and the lively illustrations.
