In 1985, The Thanksgiving Song was born out of the inspiration provided by family. The excitement of the holidays, family coming together, sweet smells coming from the kitchen, weather turning colder, football games, sitting around the fireplace ... and then ... picking up my guitar, turned into a family tradition. It only took about 45 minutes to write The Thanksgiving Song, and the verses just showed up as I sat down to write. The song has been pulled out during Thanksgiving for almost 35 years now. It's been played at school assemblies, churches, and is always requested at family gatherings. The time-traveling cousins, Zammie and Kyla, are back . . . back to 1620 where they become separated from each other along the shores around Cape Cod.
