Hardcover (Forgotten Books, Feb. 2, 2018)
Excerpt from Mother Goose's Nursery RhymesA search has been made among all books of nursery rhymes and songs brought out fifty years ago or more, in order that this edition should be as complete as possible. It is not claimed that there is any finality in a collection of nursery rhymes, for just as Oh, dear! What can the Matter be? Took root in the affections of children from being a popular song less than a century ago, so other rhymes are constantly being added to the children's chosen literature, or other verses to an older rhyme.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. • Mother Goose’s Nursery Rhymes

    Walter Crane

Paperback (Independently published, March 21, 2019)
The figure of Mother Goose is the imaginary author of a collection of fairy tales and nursery rhymes, while as a character, she appears in one nursery rhyme. Mother Goose is the name given to an archetypal country woman. She is credited with the Mother Goose stories and rhymes popularized in the 17th century in English-language literature, although no specific writer has ever been identified with such a name. Odin’s Library Classics is dedicated to bringing the world the best of humankind’s literature from throughout the ages. Carefully selected, each work is unabridged from classic works of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or drama.
  • Mother Goose's nursery rhymes

L Edna Walter, Charles James Folkard

Paperback (Ulan Press, Aug. 31, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
