Dalbert Juan is a teddy bear who looks different from other bears. He has a yellow nose, and one ear is smaller than the other. This book follows Dalbert Juan through a game of hide and seek. Instead of hiding amongst things, he decides to change his appearance. By the end of the story, Dalbert Juan realizes that it's best to be himself. Each book contains stickers that can be used in Dalbert Juan's passport. The stickers currently are for each of the 50 states. New stickers are being developed regarding activities such as camping, fishing etc. Children can order their own Dalbert Juan bear and his passport, to show where they have been with their own Dalbert Juan bear.

In this book, Dalbert Juan takes a trip to Arizona and Mexico. It's very different from Michigan, where he is from. He sees cactus for the first time, and different types of flowers. He visits the artistic town of Tubac, and tries his hand at various crafts. Then he ventures across the border to Mexico, where he rides a burro and eats some good Mexican food. Children can order their own Dalbert Juan bear and passport from the back of each book. There are stickers in each book that correspond to the 50 states, so children can show where they've gone with their own bear. More stickers are arriving soon that deal with activities such as camping and fishing.
