The Queen of Hearts is a thriller novel written by Wilkie Collins. The action centers around Jessie, a young woman in the care of her father's friend after he passed away. Her father's will dictates that she spends at least six weeks of every year with her new guardian and in the first year her time is spent at a remote castle in Wales. Will she adjust to her circumstances and even learn to enjoy her new life? Wilkie Collins was a prominent English writer in the 19th century. Collins was a close friend of Charles Dickens and his books were often featured in Dickens' journals All the Year Round and Household Words. Collins' books still enjoy wide popularity, especially mystery and detective novels such as The Woman in White, The Moonstone, and Armadale.
