Paperback (Adamant Media Corporation, Aug. 14, 2001)
The third and final installment in the Prince Hal trilogy, Henry V depicts the newly-installed king's attempts to claim the throne of France. Justifying his claim by way ofsome rather dubious legal wrangling, the young king leads his countrymen into battle at Agincourt on St. Crispin's Day. Where Henry goes, of course, witty lines are never far behind (though Falstaff is sadly absent); keep an eye out for tennis balls, plain soldiering, and Princess Catherine's English lesson.

    William, Shakespeare,

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Aug. 29, 2017)
Henry V is a history play by William Shakespeare, believed to be written in 1599. It is based on the life of King Henry V of England, and focuses on events immediately before and after the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War. The play is the final part of a tetralogy, preceded by Richard II, Henry IV, part 1 and Henry IV, part 2. The original audiences would thus have already been familiar with the title character, who was depicted in the Henry IV plays as a wild, undisciplined lad known as "Prince Hal."

O for a Muse of fire, that would ascend The brightest heaven of invention, A kingdom for a stage, princes to act And monarchs to behold the swelling scene! Then should the warlike Harry, like himself, Assume the port of Mars; and at his heels, Leash'd in like hounds, should famine, sword and fire Crouch for employment. But pardon, and gentles all, The flat unraised spirits that have dared On this unworthy scaffold to bring forth So great an object: can this cockpit hold The vasty fields of France? or may we cram Within this wooden O the very casques That did affright the air at Agincourt? O, pardon! since a crooked figure may Attest in little place a million; And let us, ciphers to this great accompt, On your imaginary forces work. Suppose within the girdle of these walls Are now confined two mighty monarchies, Whose high upreared and abutting fronts The perilous narrow ocean parts asunder: Piece out our imperfections with your thoughts; Into a thousand parts divide on man, And make imaginary puissance; Think when we talk of horses, that you see them Printing their proud hoofs i' the receiving earth; For 'tis your thoughts that now must deck our kings,
