"Heinemann English Readers" is a collection of 90 readers aimed at students aged 7-17 learning English as an additional language, or those who would like extra support with their reading. Levelled into bands of Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced, these readers are categorised into three strands: fiction, non-fiction and science. Each reader includes a page-by-page glossary, language support and reading exercises to help students develop their language skills.

This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. About the Book This is an intimate story about a Native American boy who comes across a Grasshopper during play. He is captivated by its splendor. He trails this new creature and has thoughts about how it moves. With animation and eagerness, he begins to understand that this insect has a reason for being here. You will be amused by this tale of childlike discovery seen through the eyes of a young lad. About the Author Bessie "Terry" Wilkerson is an ordained minister that prefers being outdoors. In 2002 Bessie earned a Master of Education degree in Psychological Studies from Cambridge College. She has worked in the Early Childhood Education/Human Services field for over three decades. Bessie is a PK (preacher's kid) and loves the Lord. She delights in singing and has written several children's books. Bessie resides in Massachusetts with her adult children. Contact information: booksbybessie8@gmail.com About the Illustrator Richard "Ty" Schafrath earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in drawing from Ohio State University in 1988, but a visit to MGM Studios and the Feature Animation Studios Tour a year later in Orlando would change the course of his life. After numerous setbacks Ty eventually landed a job with Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Hollywood in 1995 as a Storyboard Artist through 2002, when the industry slowed from its frantic pace. He has illustrated several books and is a freelance story boarder, painter, and caricature artist. Ty, his wife Jeni, and his step-daughters reside in Bettendorf, Iowa. Ty is a follower of Jesus Christ and is a member of Harvest Bible Chapel in Davenport, Iowa.
