Barnaby is a cancer survivor--twice. The second battle "claimed" his back right leg. Barnaby learned to cope with this loss, and moved forward to a fulfilling life filled with friends, family, and fun. He never lost sight of his reason for living--to be with those he loved, and to play! Through the eyes of this real-life dog named Barnaby a series of stories developed for children. Barnaby´s adventures lead him to learn about many issues that everyone faces at some time or another in our lives. The book covers several topics including: cancer, foster care, diversity, diet, good touch/bad touch, allergies/going to the doctor, and domestic violence, among others. Six of the nine stories in this book focus on Barnaby and his neighborhood friends. The last three stories contain additional characters that also help address some of the difficult topics listed above.
