Every parent wants their child full of self-esteem and confidence ready able to take on any challenge and complete it. It started with a simple class assignment. Her filth grade teacher assigned each student to write their own, scrapbook style, ABC ALL ABOUT ME autobiography. Asia had one month deadline. She planned not only completing her autobiography, but making into a paperback book and publishing it on amazon. She was confident she could do it. But the holidays were here and her family was all going to Florida for Christmas vacation on the beach, and New Year celebration was right behind. She gave up much her free time, found ways to creatively tell about herself through poems, memories, and pictures. It became more than she ever expected. After searching and adding photos from photo albums, stacks of photos, and selfies those she hadn't deleted. She even added great pictures of her and friends, in the hallway at school. Asia became worried that in the little time she had left she was not going to meet her deadline. Finally, her assignment was just about completed, fun pages that spoke for themselves, a colorful cover page, that makes you want to find out more was on its way. Asia was even more worried. It was Friday before she was to return back to school, and there was no ABC ALL ABOUT ME autobiography paperback book in the mail box. But Monday morning Asia arrived to class and when her teacher asked for everyone to turn in their assignments she handed her teacher her own published ABC ALL ABOUT ME autobiography in paperback. She met her deadline. Asia Lewis's commitment and determination can help children know that anything is possible when they are ready for the challenge.
