Books in Little Kippers series

No matter what religious festivals a young reader may take part in, they're sure to love reading about all of the festivals that come to life in this new series. Each title looks at the preparations that go into each festival, what people wear, where it takes place, the food that is eaten, when it happens, who celebrates it, and why it's celebrated. A case study approach is taken, following a young child as they get involved in the preparations and celebrations.

"Little Nippers" is a collection of first information books for young learners. The "Is It .." strand takes the reader on a treasure hunt to find a range of familiar materials and to explore their properties. Each book sets the children a task of finding objects with contrasting properties to build up a collection for display. The series provides an opportunity for discussing materials and their characteristics and investigating texture, shape and form. The series introduces key vocabulary to help children talk about their own observations and experiences.

Each title looks at what clothes they might wear, what the weather is like, and other changes in the environments.
