  • Folktales From Around The World Volume 3: An Anthology of Stories

    Norma Jean

Paperback (Norma Gangaram, Jan. 6, 2014)
There are forty-three stories contained in this anthology of stories. It is the third volume and all of them are guest stories. I take no credit for any of them. Many are my personal favourites, retold to my grandchildren for their enjoyment and edification. These tales run the gamut of legendary characters, legends and folktales from around the world, countries such as Greece, Ireland, USA, Columbia, Europe, Inuit folktales, and Britain. Also from Peru, Germany, Chile, Amazon, the Incas, the lost cities and some Greek mythology just to name a few. I hope to teach readers that all cultures are unique in their own rights and to instil in them respect for all cultures and all people regardless of their religious beliefs or cultural backgrounds. People are all the same despite cultural and linguistic differences. Be tolerant of all people in every circumstance. Do not judge others by the clothes they wear, the colour of their skin, their accent or the type of food they consume. We are all human beings and there is one language we all know how to speak: the language of Love. With love and tolerance, all barriers can be broken. A smile speaks a thousand words and gives off enough energy to warm the heart.
