Books in Everything Science series

Part of the "Everyday Science" series that introduces science and technology to younger readers through familiar and popular settings such as the street, home, farm and kitchen. Each title focuses on one or two scientific principles - energy and movement, materials and structures, and looks at those topics within one environment. Hands-on activities are included in the text for children to widen their understanding. This book examines the many aspects of the street where science and technology are at work - the focus being on how energy is used by people, vehicles, lights and how things move. This series is designed to support the National Curriculum requirements in science and technology.
