  • Survival: Menden Chronicles

    J. Earl Kelley

Paperback (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Dec. 11, 2017)
A lifelong reader of SciFi and Fantasy. Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, Dune, Martian Chronicles, Foundation, iRobot Series and many other of the classics read and read again. This is my attempt to create a new experience for the reader's enjoyment. In the first book Finn and Jaan are charged with the destruction of the “Orb of Darkness”. In their travels to destroy the orb they are joined with a young boy of the streets name Ian. Just before getting to Doomdor they met a young sheep herder named Tsor. Tsor convinced his parents that he should go and guide them into Doomdor. His father had taken him there numerous times and he was familiar with part of the trip but above all familiar with the ways within Doomdor. They evaded Aston and his thugs at the pass and are now on their way to Fintown to the farm of Tsor's Uncle Sorom. Sorom would help them outline the rest of the trip. Finn decided to take the long way around to Fallon City. It would take much longer but he figured Aston and his gang may give up if they were kept waiting long enough. They took a route that took them through towns like Daako, Minderton, across the Desolate Plains and through Ardburg. In their travels they added two new members, Kase and Mistro. By accident they discovered a small town that held some very special people. These people would be a big part of their futures. They were told of a province of Doomdor named Ashley. This province was ruled by a very benevolent ruler and was considered to be the only safe place in the entire country. There they would meet Princess Brooke and the head of her military, Commander Shane. Commander Shane prepared a military escort to help them get through the province of Darken to their objective. The province of Darken was ruled by Lord Xandar, the head wizard of the Forces of Evil. He had an army that was positioned to keep them from reaching Mount Doomdor. Now they are marching against the Forces of Evil, the battle is only hours away.
