Twirly is a helicopter involved in adventures during normal daily activities. Sam, his pilot, takes him on interesting missions that create adventure and surprise. The book is about heli-skiing and aspects of the unknown situations that can happen unexpectedly. Twirly loves being piloted by Sam, who explains the risks and dangers of scenarios that happen to them. The story begins when Twirly and Sam take four skiers to high mountain peaks to experience heli-skiing, only to have a natural cause create upset and worry. I can see Twirly wiping his brow as the experience becomes more intense and worrisome. My son was a helicopter pilot, flying on different missions, and was able to provide me with a better understanding of the things that have happened in his day of flying.

This tale is about a child nicknamed Snowball who has a difficult day in school, and his teacher calls his parents. Before going to sleep at nap time he decides to play cooperatively with his peers for the rest of the day. But he worries about one big problem. How to intercept the call his teacher made, if possible. Snowball creates a plan to do just that but, through a chain of events, finds that his attempts make matters worse.

When the snowball starts to melt, the boy rescues it by putting it in the freezer, where the snowball meets some very nice frozen foods and a tray of ice cubes too. The snowball meets flowers and butterflies in spring, sea and sand in summer, and apples and colorful leaves in fall. This is a great read-aloud. Children will enjoy shouting the refrain "Help! MY SNOWBALL is a story that takes place in Hooksett, New Hampshire. It is a story that offers a glimpse of the love that a small boy has for the animals, especially for his dog, Sunshine, and his cat, Snowball.Snowball, a smart and beautiful cat, teaches Max, a nine-year-old boy, that animals love people and show their love through actions, although the actions and experiences are sometimes very painful. Snowball was tortured by a nasty boy, David, but she never gives up because she wants to make her best friend, Max, happy by finding his skateboard, which David had stolen from him. At the end, Max teaches all of his friends that they shouldn't take things that don't belong to them, because sooner or later, they will be discovered and will be punished for their actions.The moral of the story to his friends is to love animals, work hard in school, and always do good deeds in life.
