She completed her studies from Normal College, now Hunter College, in New York City and was a teacher in elementary school. After her marriage with Robert Seaman, she got the time to write children's fictions. She has only one child, Helen Roberta or Bobbie. She remarried after her husband died and lived in the Island Beach, New Jersey. She wrote several books while working in the local government in different positions.
