  • I'm So Sad; I'm So Mad

    Carole Marsh

Paperback (Gallopade International, Sept. 1, 2004)
Many children of military personnel are facing the loss of a parent or loved one resulting from combat, suicide or accident, or maybe he or she has suffered a permanent physical disability. These kids, their friends and classmates need resources to help them cope. This book helps them understand what they are going through. Because some losses are inevitable with a high military population, we suggest schools (especially MCEC members) use this resource at the start of the year, so that all kids are prepared if/when something happens. They can also use it at the time of an event. Although particularly of interest to military schools and organizations, this book would also be beneficial to kids after an event such as 9/11 or Columbine and would belong on the bookshelf of guidance counselors. Much of the money used to buy material like this is available in the form of grants.
